What is the unit of beauty?
The unit of beauty is "Helens" in honour of the woman for whom the war is fought.

Nope. The answer is Brian Lara. The connection is, reading left to right, they were the first to reach the next highest test century i.e. Charles Bannerman scored the first century, Billy Murdoch, the first double ton and Andy Sandham, the first triple ton. Lara of course is the first and only man to hit 400.

Question 2)1. When this writer was in a Boston hospital, she heard about a case in which the doctor and the patient did not speak the same language. The doctor’s assistant, who helped as a translator, had a particular designation or name. The writer immediately jotted it down as the most poetic thing she had ever heard .She later used this as a title of her book. What was the title?

bonus for the giving the writers name .....(limited edition "amminikutty" ,the elephant who can salsa),

TITLE-"The Interpreter of Maladies",
AUTHOR-Jhumpa Lahiri.

Spot on !!! Ok, who finished 3rd at the Mr. Universe bodybuilding competition in 1953?
Sean Connery

This famous TV character was hounded by the press because they thought he was like the character he portrayed, in real life as well. In exasperation, he wrote his "first" autobiography titled "I am not ____", sometime in the mid-70s. After he had reconciled with life and learned to chill, he came out with his "second" autobiography in the mid-90s titled "I am ____". Give me the missing word in both books (it is one and the same). Hint: The word is the name of the character.

Gotcha!!!"I am not Spock" Actor - Leonard Nimoy

A bear has fallen from a height of 10 meters.
It took square-root of 2 seconds for it to fall on the ground Now can
you tell me the COLOR of the bear based on this information?

01. The bear has fallen from a height of 10 m

02. It took square root(2) sec for it to fall.

03. Obviously it's initial velocity is zero (since it's a freely
falling
body).

04. Let's assume the acceleration due to gravity is: 'a'
meters/seconds
square at that place.

05. So applying the formula.. S = ut + (1/2*a*t^2)

we know... u = 0, S = 10, t = square root(2) secs

Hence,

10 = 0*sqroot(2) + {(1/2) * a * 2 }

06. Solving the above equation gives a = 10 meters/seconds square

07. For a free falling body 'a' is the gravitational pull which is g =
9.8 m/s^2

08. Hence at that place where the bear fell, the acceleration due to
gravity is the highest (its greater than 9.8 and since wkt a)

09. This can happen only at the poles .. (North or South)

10. And we know that only polar bears can survive in the sub zero
temperatures of the poles

11. And no points for guessing that the colour of a Polar bear is
WHITE
!!!

Now vidya did you think similar or was it a simple guess.......any ways that was good effort

Q: What happened between October 4, 1582 and October 15, 1582?
October 15, 1582 was the immediate next day of October 4, 1582...as the Pope had ordered that 10 days be subtracted from October 1582...
The Pope (not sure who it was at the time) issued an order to change over from the Julian calendar to the Gregorian calendar

You have two Iron bars A and B. Same lenth, width and thickness. One magnetised other's not. How, without using any other material can u determine which one is magnetised ?

Put one bar A horizontaly on the ground. Now put the other one B perpendicular to A at its centre forming a "T" shape.

Now try to pull the A up with B. If A bar moves then B is magnetized, If it doesnot A is the magnetized bar.

The reason is the magnetic forces in a bar magnet are maximum at the ends and zero at the centre of the bar. Hence if u can pull A up it means that B is magnetized and is attracting A towards it. If A does not move up it means that A is unable to attract and B, the bar below is not being attracted as the force is zero at the centre.

Anil met 4 persons A, B, C and D. Now two of them always speak the truth and the other two always lie. Now in order to find out who's who, anil asked the following questions.
1) He asked A, what is B.
A said, "Liar".
2) He asked B, what is C.
B said, "Liar".
3) He asked C, what is D.
C said, "Liar".
4) He asked D, " If I asked A as to what was C, what would A say ?"
D said, "Liar".

After this Anil was able to assertain who was who. can you do the same ? Also give your reasons.

Construct a table with the possibilities....

A B C D
----------------
L L T T
L T L T
L T T L
T L L T
T L T L
T T L L

Test out the various scenarios given the answers. Its the fifth option which is exclusive i.e. A and C tell the truth, B and D lie
---------

There are two spheres say A and B have same weight, volume and appearence. However one of them is solid where as the other one is hollow. How can you determine which one.
